Powerful long lasting LED/UV Flashlights

These handheld, portable, small UV/LED flashlights can be used for a multitude of things.  Instead of carrying around heavy and hot black lights these UV flashlights can be slipped into a pocket allowing easy access.  Crowd and access control: Hands that have been marked using invisible pens or cards that when illuminated with UV becomes visible.   The  LED flashlight with 21 Bulbs can be used on admission cards from night clubs, amusement parks and controlled events .  Other popular uses can be crime scene inspection, currency and bill verification, leak detection, rodent detection, gemstone and mineral inspection.  Optical industries have started using the 9 bulb LED flashlightto demonstrate indoors the photochromic lenses (the darkening of lenses in response to sunlight).  UV Light has also been known to show alterations and changes to documents allowing forgery to be easily spotted.

UV Problems

No matter what type of UV system you have, big or small it seems everyone runs into the same types of problems or has the same questions.

UV curing systems may seem daunting but they all contain the same basic parts whether they are electronic, magnetic, LED or microwave type.  They will all have a lamp, power supply, reflector of some sort and means of cooling, blower or fans.

All of these have their own unique part to play in the running of your system and all have their own unique set of issues and potential problems to be aware of.  I will tell you this, 99% of the time it is something simple………… We have found over the years of building our own and trouble shooting other manufacturer’s sytems that very rarely is it something catastrophic but more often than not it’s something simple being overlooked.

So our next article will go over in more depth and help educate you in the 4 main types of UV systems and their pros and cons.

Portable handheld UV System

After having great success with our Power-Shots, the 500 and 1100, we took the old design and made it more powerful then stuck wheels on it! Seriously!   We had been looking for a way to come up with a versatile and maneuverable system for quite some time, and now its here! The Power-Shot 2400.

We’ve beefed up the size of the lamp now offering an 8″ cure width and variable power up to 24oo watts. It comes furnished with a safety kit in a rugged case and is completely self contained.

Capable of curing in the UVA and UVB bandwidth with a simple lamp change there is very little the Power-Shot 2400 can’t do, and, do better than anything currently available in it’s class.

We’ve been supplying the flooring industry, kitchen fitters and also the guitar manufacturing markets already and it’s only been available for a couple of months!

We recently shipped a unit to Bailey Guitars back in my home land, Scotland. They run a small guitar shop on the west coast and also have classes teaching the art of guitar making.  So far, and judging by their pictures, they seem to be really happy with their purchase and getting to grips with all it’s features very quickly.

UV Wood Coatings

I wasn’t even aware that people still used wooden propellers, let alone there was a company still manufacturing them. I thought it was all fiberglass and fancy space age composites then Mike Hay of PPG Props contacted us with an interest in UV curable coatings for his wooden props.

We had already had great success in the guitar market with the Power-Shot and our various coatings, so why not with propellors? Once again a craftsman who was working in a very traditional market and media could see the benefits of moving into UV Curable Coatings to help with his process.

We had thought about SPDI making a custom machine silmiliar to what we had made for Patrick Industries, see next blog for info, but upon hearing Mike’s requirements we realized that the Power-Shot met all his needs in one handy package.

The other selling point was ‘we’re a one stop shop’. We supply the UV system, safety gear and always have coatings available that are specially formulated by Greenlight Coatings to work with our lights, no need to spend time shopping around and never really being sure if you are achieving ‘full cure’ with unmatched products.

So maybe it’s time to stop procrastinating and start the New Year off with a Power-Shot and coatings from Cure UV.

UV Power-Shot

As more and more manufacturers and contractors turn to Ultraviolet Technology for the obvious benefits, lower costs, times, and chemical emissions, it was only a matter of time until the concrete and stone industry followed suit.

Another great fit is our trusty UV Power-Shot.
